I was a big fan of the first 2 sections of the satanic bible, feeling that the last part (the part dealing more with magik) was contradictory to the rest of the book. Well, this whole book is like an expansion of the that last section, and contains none of the wit and charm of the first.

A fine book, yadda yadda, my only comment is...I see rituals for the Call of Cthulhu all the time, but why never a Call of Barbie ritual? Cthulhu hasn't been able to help me with my hair nor catch a boyfriend.

I go back to this book again and again when I want to read about a particular ritual...just reading sets the tone and mood for me, just imagine if you physically did them yourself? The impact would all the more powerful. One of my favorite rituals (besides both the child and adult baptisms) has to be Das Tierdrama.

I always said there was an untapped market in the occult, and this book is proof of it. Unlike the Satanic Bible which had some witty (commendeered) gems of Ayn Rand, Crowley, and Nietzche, this abomination contains vauge prattle and a laundry list of new age BullS*** rituals that even the book seems ashamed of. The histories of the rituals and contexts of them are obviously made up, and only the most disturbed (or bored) of minds would bring people together to do anything of these things. My main beef with this pseudo philosphy is that it demands to be called a "religion", which baffles me because in the real world religion is the compliant suppression of knowledge. The only entertaining value of this book is the knowledge that there are morons out there who take this book seriously. This book has an obvious target audience, that I'm surprised it isn't more expensive, as to squeeze every last drop of income out of it's followers like certain other Churchs that shall not be named.
In closing if you suffer from delusions of grandur, you will happily enjoy and employ this book to feed your illness. It also gives whiny christians something to blame their inadquecies on. For rational human beings however...it's just more new age tripe ment to pinch a few bucks off gulliable adults who have yet to grow up.

This book is definately a good read. Although it made me gasp a few times. I am still a little confused about a couple different things in this book.
It is a good read for those who are curious or those who really want to begin their practices..I say begin because I doubt that "everything" is in this little book. :-)
I did enjoy reading this book, its just a bit of a different flavor I suppose, compared to TSB and the NOTEBOOK. So enjoy!
Thanks!
